Fred Chavez, President
IT Manager-VSP (Vision Service Plan)

Fred Chavez came to the Partnership’s Board of Directors with over 29 years of Information Technology experience in the corporate world. He has spent the last 16 years of his career at VSP (Vision Service Plan) where he holds the position as Data Center Manager. Fred runs a successful DJ and Portable Photo Booth home based business. Fred is a dedicated father that loves to spend time with his six children including 6 year old twins. Fred’s passions include music, fishing, gardening and the martial arts. He has studied the martial arts for over 15 years and has attained black belts in White Tiger Kenpo, Jujitsu and American Kenpo Karate. He is currently teaching American Kenpo with the Cordova Parks and Recreation Department. Fred grew up in South San Francisco and lived in Cameron Park for 15 years before moving to Rancho Cordova in 2007. He credits his mother Maria for teaching him through her example, to be compassionate when others are in need. He takes pride in his community and is grateful that he is in a position that enables him to help others.

Rian Troth, Secretary
Program Manager, Outreach/Residential Assistance - SMUD

Rian Troth, is a Supervisor in Customer Programs and Services with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). In this capacity he oversees several customer facing programs, including low-income weatherization and refrigerator program, residential advisory services, and residential community outreach. Rian has been with SMUD for over 11 years, and was the founder of Network Café in collaboration with the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership and SMUD. Rian is also very active in his community, including being on local neighborhood Boards, sport league Boards and is proud to be serving on the local chapter of Rebuilding Togethers Board. Rian’s educational background includes a Masters in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento and two Bachelors of Arts degrees from the University California Davis, in Research Psychology, and Sociology. Rian is also the proud father of two boys, Brandon and Bentley.

Tiffany Cantrell, Vice President / Resource Development Chairperson

A long time area native, Tiffany Cantrell resides in Sacramento.
While currently working in the insurance industry, Tiffany's professional background also includes working in healthcare and education.
With a passion for event planning, she puts her skills to use in both her professional and personal life wether it be a charitable drive, contributing to community fundraising efforts or hosting friends and family for a special occasion.
Tiffany has an Associate of Arts degree from American River College in Liberal Arts and also attended Stanislaus State University.

 

Michelle-Hamilton_150.jpgMichelle Hamilton, Treasuer / Loan Officer, Land Home Financial Service

Michelle Hamilton is a mortgage loan officer, at the Gold River Branch of Land Home Financial Services. She has been in mortgages and real estate since 2000, receiving her Broker's License in 2002. Her favorite part of being a loan officer is helping people save money and even saving their financial lives, in some cases. Having a heart for helping others, she has spent most of her life in volunteer situations, starting at 12 years old helping teach kids, lead coaching an Alabama YMCA track team to the State Championships at age 16, as well as Girl Scout leadership, to her adult life, holding dozens of ministry leadership positions. Her most recent experience was coaching people in job-hunting research and teaching computer programs to improve their skills, at a career transition group at Bayside Church, Granite Bay. Michelle came to Folsom Cordova Community Partnership having helped create a business plan for another local partnership. That experience inspired a desire to reach further - outside church walls - to her own community. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento and an Masters degree in Business Administration, from the University of Phoenix. She is the mother of 3 adult children - Daniel, Jenelle, and Renée - and Grandma to 3 - Samantha, Zoë, and Zachary.

Barbara Lopez, The Elevator Pitch Coach, is President of Brightfarm. Barbara is a professional commercial writer, and produces 30-second and 60-second video commercials for businesses and nonprofits that are used in email marketing, websites, tradeshows, and even television. She also coaches professionals on how to give their verbal commercial (or “elevator pitch”) in networking situations and does so through private coaching, teleclasses, speaking engagements and workshops. Barbara and her husband have lived in Rancho Cordova since 2004, and Barbara is very active in the community. She is an Ambassador for the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce, a contributor to the Rancho Cordova Post, and a member of Toastmasters. Barbara joined the FCCP Board in January 2007, and has been serving as President of the Board since January 2009
