On November 23rd, The Partnership held our fifth annual "A Partnership in Thanks" event providing a Thanksgiving meal to families who have participated in programming at the Partnership over the past year. This year we fed 467 parents, youth and children. We are grateful for the generous donations of our sponsors whose make this event possible; the Sacramento Marriott, Grocery Outlet of Rancho Cordova, Center of Praise, Alphagraphics, and Skyles Insurance. In addition, the numerous volunteers who volunteered their time and talent to serve families, set up and clean up the event are critical to this event's success.

One of the highlights of this event is our annual Turkey craft where each attendee had the opportunity to write down what they are thankful for on a turkey feather and place it on a giant turkey (see picture on left). Some of the comments from this year included being thankful for "my family, my children and the Partnership," "video games and my big brother," and "being able to share this meal with family and friends." The event included a traditional Thanksgiving meal, storyteller Chris Davis from the Rancho Cordova Library, and a photo montage of The Partnership families throughout the year.
