Employment Services Program
The Partnership's Employment Services provides employment resources to individuals and families in Rancho Cordova, Folsom and surrounding areas of Sacramento County. Through a grant award from SETA (Sacramento Employment and Training Agency) through the Workforce Investment Act, The Partnership is able to provide On-The-Job Training for individuals from low income families receiving federal CalWorks (aid to low-income families with children under 18 in the home). On The Job Training offers immediate employment to individuals while they learn skills in a new job while providing a wage subsidy to employers who hire through the program. The wage subsidy can be 50 to 100% of wages for the first two to three months of employment.
Candidates for employment are assessed for their current skill levels, aptitudes and interests while coached on interviewing skills and resume preparation. Once a job site is developed, participants are referred for interview based on the results of their assessments and interests and the specific needs of the employer. The Partnership works with the Sacramento Works One Stop Career Centers in Rancho Cordova, Mather and Hillsdale to recruit and screen candidates for employment and provide job training services. Once placed, job candidates and employers supported by our Employment Services Team to ensure a successful match.
