The Program:

FCCP seeks to assist low income community residents with achieving self-sufficiency for themselves and their families.  To this end, FCCP operates the Folsom Cordova Job Center, a free employment center providing the following activities and services: 

 

  • Pre-employment workshops
  • Resume preparation assistance
  • Professional skills training 
  • Interviewing skills assistance
  • Access to training scholarships

FCCP’s Job Center is community-based, located in an area of high need in Rancho Cordova.  The Job Center is on the Community Education Campus at 10826 Gadsten Way in Rancho Cordova, phone number (916) 294-9107, and is open the following hours:

Monday         9 am to 4:30 pm

Tuesday        9 am to 6:30 pm

Wednesday   9 am to 4:30 pm

Thursday       9 am to 6:30 pm

Friday            9 am to 12 pm

The Folsom Cordova Job Center is part of America’s Job Center network with funding from the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act.  Funding is provided through Sacramento’s local Workforce Investment Board, the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency.

Candidates for employment are assessed for their current skill levels, aptitudes and interests while coached on interviewing skills and resume preparation. Once a job site is developed, participants are referred for interview based on the results of their assessments and interests and the specific needs of the employer. The Partnership works with the Sacramento Works One Stop Career Centers in Rancho Cordova, Mather and Hillsdale to recruit and screen candidates for employment and provide job training services. Once placed, job candidates and employers supported by our Employment Services Team to ensure a successful match.
