The Folsom Cordova Community Partnership is a 501(c)3 community based non-profit. Our mission and vision support our work to: build strong families, meet the needs of struggling parents to increase self -sufficiency, promote youth development through positive peer and adult relationships and develop employment skills for individuals to achieve their career goals. We bring together resources and programming in a Family Resource Center and Job Center to create a “one-stop” experience, which encourages and supports families as they identify their own needs and reach their goals.  We recognize that each family has strengths and encourage each family to build on these strengths to solve their own challenges.

We have two primary focuses.  One is to prevent child abuse through parent education and support, free family activities and vital resources. The other is to assist families in achieving self-sufficiency through job search assistance, providing scholarships for career training, professional skill building education, financial empowerment, refugee / asylee employment supports, youth leadership and career exploration.

We are committed to addressing the distinct needs of families and youth in Rancho Cordova, Folsom and the surrounding areas. They are two communities that are knitted together under a local school board and as neighbors on the Highway 50 corridor.

Our History

Founded in 1992 as a schools foundation, the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership has a deep rooted history of providing quality services to families with children.

In 1998, we became one of the nine Birth & Beyond Family Resource Centers that opened in Sacramento County to provide parent education and home visitation services to families with children most at-risk of child abuse.  In 2005, we expanded our services by offering mentoring services to youth ages 8-17 with an incarcerated caregiver. In 2008, we added our Community Support services to provide resources and referrals, short-term case management and emergency supplies of basic needs to families in crisis.  In 2009, we began providing employment development services, to adults and youth, and now operate one of twelve America's Job Centers in Sacramento County.

We strive to meet the need of our changing community through continuous, high-quality assessment and program development.
